Netherlands create another upset against proteas, this time in 50 over game.

Match fifteen of the cricket world cup featured Netherlands and South Africa at Dharamsala. The match was reduced to 43 overs per side due to rain.  Proteas skipper Bavuma won the toss and opted to field which was the first mistake of the day.  Netherlands lost 5 wickets for 82 runs and were in deep trouble. In came captain Scott Edwards he held the innings together with the lower middle order batters and posted a healthy score of 245 for losing eight wickets. Captain Edwards top scored with 78*. Two wickets each for Ngidi, Jansen, Rabada.  Now It's time for the proteas batters to take them home. Temba Bavuma and Quinton de kock walked out to bat. South Africa kept losing wickets at regular intervals. No big partnership was found in their batting. Afghanistan stunned England, registered their second World Cup after 2015.

England took on Afghanistan on Sunday at Arun jatley stadium, Delhi. Afghanistan batted first in that encounter.  Gurbaz started the innings in some fashion, gone all guns blazzing at the top. He scored 86 and got runout. Afghanistan lost quick wickets in the middle of the innings and were in trouble. In came Ikram alikhil, scored a quick runs of fifty which was his first world Cup fifty. Afghanistan were all out for 284. England lost Bairstow while chasing 285. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Harry brook made useful 50 but that was not enough for the English men to cross the finishing line. They lost all their wickets for 215 and lost the match by 69 runs.  This was their second win in odi world cups. First win came in 2015 against Scotland.  Mujeeb ur rahman won the player of the match award for his allround performance. 

Rohit surpasses universe boss for most sixes in international cricket.

Indian Captain Rohit Sharma created world record for most sixes in international cricket gone passed Chris Gayle.   Rohit failed to make runs on the game against Australia in their World Cup opener. Their second match was against Afghanistan at Delhi.  Chasing a moderate score of 280, India got to a flying start courtesy Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. The Mumbai pair took India over hundred runs for the opening wicket.  Rohit smashed his seventh world cup hundred. The knock got constructed with six sixes and seventeen fours and broke the record for most sixes in international cricket.  The previous record was 556 sixes by West Indies Star batter Chris Gayle. Shahid Afridi, Brendon Mccullum were in that elite list.  Rohit Sharma is now the leading run scorer for India in the ongoing World Cup.  Follow our blog for more cricket updates and analysis.
